Nonprofit Consulting & Strategic Support
Building the clarity, capacity, and systems that make lasting impact possible.
Your Partner in Growth and Change
Who Our Nonprofit Work Is For
This is not one-off consulting. It is structured advisory for mission-driven organizations that want to build something durable. This may be a strong fit if:
Your organization is seeking greater strategic clarity or direction
You’re experiencing growth and need stronger systems, structure, or leadership support
You’re at a critical inflection point — including the possibility of merger, restructuring, or wind-down
You’re exploring earned revenue, funding diversification, or capital campaign readiness
Your board and staff need facilitated strategic planning or governance strengthening
We also partner with foundations and individual donors seeking to strengthen the organizational vitality of the nonprofits they support.
How We Work
Our team brings cross-sector perspective that's uncommon in nonprofit advisory work — grounded in lived experience as nonprofit founders, directors, and program leaders, and sharpened by years working alongside businesses navigating growth, strategy, and transition. That combination allows us to bring both mission-driven values and operational discipline to the table.
Our work integrates strategic facilitation, financial and operational discipline, capacity building, and governance strengthening, in whatever combination serves you best.
We're selective about engagements, focused on work where we can help create lasting impact for the organizations and communities we serve. That means partnering with leaders and organizations whose values align with ours — and who are ready to do the work.
Areas of Focus
Advisory relationships with Conscious Consults are structured and intentional. We're oriented toward clarity, momentum, and results that outlast our engagement.
Honest, direct feedback — even when it's uncomfortable
Facilitated alignment between board, staff, and strategy
Practical tools you’ll actually use after we’re gone
Accountability to the goals you set
Decision support that keeps mission at the center
-
Facilitated planning processes that build alignment between board and staff, clarify organizational priorities, and translate vision into actionable implementation plans — with accountability built in from the start.
-
Development of mission-aligned earned income strategies, fee-for-service models, and social enterprise concepts that complement traditional funding streams and build long-term financial resilience.
-
Comprehensive assessments of staffing, board development, financial management, marketing, fundraising, and operational systems — resulting in a practical roadmap for where to focus next.
-
Board development, governance structure, role clarity, and policy frameworks that help your leadership operate with confidence and accountability. Strong governance is the foundation everything else rests on.
-
Strengthening fundraising infrastructure across annual giving, major gifts, grant strategy, board engagement, and campaign readiness — so your development function is sustainable, not reactive.
-
Sometimes organizations arrive at a moment that requires something more than a plan — a crisis, an inflection point, or the difficult recognition that the path forward may look fundamentally different. We work with organizations navigating significant transitions, including mergers, strategic restructuring, and responsible wind-down. If your organization is facing hard decisions, we can help you make them with clarity, care, and full accountability to the people and community you serve.
We believe that mission-driven organizations deserve advisory support that is as rigorous as it is relational.
